There are no words to describe how excited I am to be writing this post. Platform sandals are my new favorite shoes, apart from Doc Martens, so I couldn’t just do any old outfit post featuring these. I considered a lookbook, but decided on something just a little different. These outfits don’t necessarily need platform sandals, but I definitely think the shoes look really great with the pieces. Either way, I hope you enjoy it!
Outfit #1
What I Wore: Grey “Geek” Shirt (J.Crew)/Skinny Green Cargo Pants (Crewcuts-Old)//Sunflower Elastic Headband (Charlotte Russe)//White Platform Sandals with Gold Straps $25 (Target)
I wanted to dress down the platform sandals in at least one of these outfits, so I went with a casual spring/summer outfit. It’s perfect for those slightly windy days where you don’t want to be too hot, but don’t want to be cold either. I went pretty simple for this outfit, but I don’t think it’s too boring because of the shoes and the pants. The green cargo pants are a little different for me, because normally I’d go for jeans, but I am glad I went for something a little different.
Outfit #2
What I Wore: White “Love NYC” T-Shirt (J.Crew)//Structure Navy Blue Floral Skirt ( Target)//Large Flower Elastic Headband (Charlotte Russe)//White Platform Sandals with Gold Straps $25 (Target)
Of course I had to include a skirt somewhere in this post, I can never seem to go without one. This outfit is actually something I wore before without platform sandals, but always thought that it was missing something. It seems that hole has been filled. A bright, floral, structured skirt may be too bold for some, but it’s toned down with solid shoes, and a simple shirt. It’s a very girly outfit, and not very practical, but it’s fun and vibrant, so it really doesn’t matter much to me. This would be a really good OOTD for a brunch or lunch date.
Outfit #3
What I Wore: Black and White Striped Top (Charlotte Russe)//Black Romper with Gold Detailing (Charlotte Russe)//Sunflower Elastic Headband (Charlotte Russe)//Black Sunglasses – Unknown//White Platform Sandals with Gold Straps $25 (Target)
This is a little bit of a different style for me; edgy. It’s something you’d wear during a night on the town because the romper reveals so much. There’s a cutout you can see on the front, low sleeves, and a larger cutout on the back. That’s why I paired this black and white striped shirt with the romper. It may be my new favorite piece, because it’s so great for layering, and can be worn so many different ways. The sunglasses make everything seem so pulled together, and effortlessly cool. All in all, this may be a go-to outfit for me, since it’s so easy, but looks like I spent a lot of time and effort on my outfit.
I’m sure I could think of a lot more outfits to go with these shoes, but these are just a few of my favorites. Hopefully all the different styles were refreshing, and you liked seeing such different ways to wear platform sandals. I really liked styling this post, and I think you’ll enjoy reading it, so I’d love to do more things like this.
Which outfit is your favorite? How do you style platform sandals? Let me know in the comments.
