Hey there! Every once in a while I feel like there’s absolutely nothing in my closet to wear. Now of course this isn’t true, as I have quite a few pieces in my closet, I’m just not feeling very inspired with my wardrobe. On these days I turn to Pinterest for inspiration, but… You could also go shopping. Either way, these are some of the most inspiring images on Pinterest when you have “nothing to wear.”

#1 – #3: Lots of Denim
Denim seems to be a fabric that’s easy to style, yet looks effortlessly cool. You could take the 70s route with a denim midi skirt, and a light sweater or crop top; one of my personal favorites, or you pair some overalls with a classic shirt for a causal yet pulled together look. Either way, denim is always something to turn to when you have nothing to wear.
#4 – #6: Colors & Prints
When I’m in a little bit of a rut, I tend to go towards more versatile, monochromatic pieces, which really makes my closet seem empty. That’s why I urge you to try to mix-and-match some colors and prints, as it always makes your outfits seem a little bit more fum. Whether you go a little bit more simple with one color or one print, or if you work around a color scheme with a bunch of different prints, adding a little bit of color to your life is always a good thing!
#7 – #9: Midi Skirts
For whatever reason, midi skirts seem to be my go-to piece this summer, so hopefully you’re feeling the same. Of course there’s a few different lengths of skirts from right above the knee to right below the knee, but either way, they’re pretty amazing. One of my favorite ways to wear midi skirts is to balance the slightly longer length with an almost-crop top, or an actual crop top, which is a little bit of a more casual look. Other times I like to dress everything up with a necklace, a belt, and a clutch like the picture above.
#10 – 12: Mixing Fabrics & Layers
Oftentimes I feel as if there’s nothing in my closet because everything I seem to pair ends up being very boring. That’s why when I’m facing this problem I tend to look for my jackets, and more unique fabrics. Chunky turtleneck sweaters and suede wouldn’t normally go together, and that’s what makes this outfit look a lot more interesting than any ol’ skirt-and-shirt combination. Same goes for the other two pictures, layers and a mix of fabrics makes everything seem a lot better than it is, meaning the outfits were easy to create, but look pretty well put together.
Hopefully this helps for when you’re in a little bit of a rut in terms of what to wear. I know you can always go shopping, but sometimes it’s nice to find a new favorite outfit that’s already in your closet.
